Pool Bridge Photography Hides - The place to photograph Yorkshire Wildlife!
Pool Bridge Farm near York has always been a haven for wildlife but since joining the Higher Level Stewardship (HLS) scheme in 2010 and turning a large area of arable land into meadowland the wildlife on the farm has flourished and diversified beyond all recognition. With Pool Bridge ajoining Heslington Tilmire, a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), many of the species found on there can now also be found at Pool Bridge.
Some of the wildlife species that can be regularly seen at Pool Bridge include; Kestrel, Green Woodpecker, Brown Hare, Fallow and Roe Deer (these live in the wood on the farm), Barn Owl, Tawny Owl, Little Owl, Short-Eared Owl (in winter only), Buzzard, Kingfisher, Water Vole, Great Crested Grebe. We have even photographed an Osprey at Pool Bridge!
We have two nocturnal hides, one for the Barn Owls and one for the Tawny Owls that are feeding every night. If you are interested in photographing any of our species please send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org or call Steve on 07872 107 284.

May Update: We have seen the Barn Owl hunting during the day today (1st May), which is a good indication that they are feeding their young. We are expecting the Kestrels and Tawny Owls to be feeding their young very soon as well. May is going to be a great time to visit us!
