As much as we would love the lakes to be accessible to all in the future, we’re not there yet.

It’s still a little muddy underfoot in most areas, so bring your wellies. Wheelchair access to the sides of any of the lakes is not realistic at the moment. The closest lake is a 25m Walk from the Carpark at present on uneven ground. There is a picnic bench by the entrance to this lake.

If you are an ambulatory wheelchair user, you would be able to get to within 30m of the changing barn and the Shepherd’s hut sauna. (By the signing in hut) The Monet lake is a further 8m from the barn along a gravel path.

The Lake View Sauna has a part gravel/part mud & grass path from the carpark approximately 30m long. It is not accessible by wheelchair however there is a picnic bench for resting halfway.

The lakes have shallow steps and handrails to help you into the lakes, however, it may be worth noting that the bottom step into the lake is variable in height.

Guide & assistance dogs are welcomed on the lakeside but not in the water.

If a friend of relative wishes to come and check out accessibility and how it will suit your needs before your visit this is no problem at all just drop us an email can we can arrange this.
